My knuckles turn white as I grip the bar on the roof and nod to the three men standing beside me. It’s a cool January morning as we slowly drive past the Mae Sot Police Station. I look down at my feet to make sure I’m securely standing on the tailgate. Well what can I say about Thailand? A land of contrasts to be sure. From the Burmese border in the north to the islands in the Gulf of Thailand. Every place has its own unique feel. Hot and dusty to humid and wet. One thing that remains constant is the friendliness of the people. |
